Basketball Game Preview: Scappoose Indians vs. Tillamook Cheesemakers

The Scappoose Indians will venture away from home to challenge the Tillamook Cheesemakers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scappoose will be strutting in after a win while Tillamook will be coming in after a loss.

Scappoose is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Astoria 72-52 on Saturday. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Fishermen are ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tillamook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Astoria.

Tillamook's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Scappoose, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Scappoose took their victory against Tillamook when the teams last played last Friday by a conclusive 62-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scappoose since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
