Westford Academy is a perfect 5-0 against Bedford since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Grey Ghosts will be playing in front of their home fans against the Buccaneers at 4:15 p.m. Westford Academy has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Westford Academy couldn't beat Beverly on Monday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Grey Ghosts took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Grey Ghosts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westford Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Janowsky, who went 1-for-4 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Bedford put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Waltham as they made off with a 29-4 victory. Fans of the Buccaneers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Bedford's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Westford Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Westford Academy beat Bedford 4-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2022. Will the Grey Ghosts repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
