Basketball Recap: Beardstown Comes Up Short

Beardstown suffered their biggest loss since January 30th on Friday. They had to suffer through a 66-39 loss at the hands of the Routt Catholic Rockets. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 637th, while the Rockets are ranked 112th).

Beardstown has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-22 record this season. The victory (which was Routt Catholic's fourth in a row) raised their record to 27-4.

Looking ahead, Beardstown will head out on the road to challenge Riverton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Routt Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
