Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elko). Everything went their way against the Fernley Vaqueros on Saturday as they made off with a 9-2 win. Elko might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Fernley from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Sorel Barajas led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

Elko pushed their record up to 10-3-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those four matches. As for Fernley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11-3 record this season.
