Basketball Recap: Kenwood Bluebirds vs. Lansdowne Vikings
The Kenwood Bluebirds can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 69-14 victory over Lansdowne on the road. The victory was just what Kenwood needed coming off of a 61-37 loss in their prior game.
Kenwood was led to victory by Mackenzie Green and Diamond Watters. Green scored 23 points along with four steals, while Watters dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Green has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalia Rideout, who scored four points along with five rebounds and five steals.
The win got Kenwood back to even at 7-7. As for Lansdowne, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
Kenwood will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. Patapsco is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Lansdowne, they will square off against the Bulls at TBD on Wednesday. Hereford is coming into the game hot, having won their last 14 games.
