Preview: New London Bulldogs vs. Little Chute Mustangs
The New London Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Little Chute Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New London is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, New London was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-50 to Xavier. While losing is never fun, New London can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Xavier is ranked 13th).
Meanwhile, Little Chute came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Oconto Falls 75-40 on the road. Little Chute's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
New London's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Little Chute, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
New London lost to Little Chute on the road by a decisive 52-34 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can New London avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
