It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Three Lakes/Phelps ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Elcho Hornets 3-2. This was a revenge game for Three Lakes/Phelps: when they faced off against Elcho two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Three Lakes/Phelps' win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Elcho, they dropped their record down to 5-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Three Lakes/Phelps will challenge rival Goodman-Pembine at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Elcho is set to face off against their familiar foe Florence at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
