Basketball Recap: Veritas Christian Academy Beats Varsity Opponent for Their Third Straight Win

Veritas Christian Academy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 20) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Varsity Opponent, sneaking past 54-52. The victory was just business as usual for the Patriots, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Veritas Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Maggart out in front who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Hayes Davidson, who went 5-for-6 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Veritas Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Veritas Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Tournament Opponent at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 78-33 win against Tyler Classical Academy on the 4th.
