Bridgman had won six straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped their record up to 11-5 to make it seven. They put the hurt on the Berrien Springs Shamrocks with a sharp 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bees, who have now won nine matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

As for Berrien Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Berrien Springs' part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mitch Nelson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That hit marked the first that Nelson has got this season.

Bridgman will have a chance to go back-to-back against Berrien Springs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
