Volleyball Game Preview: Mount Academy Eagles vs. Millbrook Blazers

The Mount Academy Eagles will take on the Millbrook Blazers at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Mount Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.

Mount Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against SS Seward as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mount Academy was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-13, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Millbrook made easy work of Burke Catholic on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. The Blazers haven't had any issues with Burke Catholic recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-6.

Mount Academy better focus on containing Cc Grey and Karla Vasquez as the pair were huge in Millbrook's win. Grey had eight digs and four aces, while Vasquez had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces Grey has posted since back in September.

Millbrook's win bumped their record up to 21-12-8. As for Mount Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 39-4-2.
