Baseball Recap: Lincoln-Way Central Snags Ninth Win in Last 12 Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lincoln-Way Central had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves by a score of 5-0. Five seems to be a good number for the Knights as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Lincoln-Way Central has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Thornton Fractional South, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-21-2.

As of now, neither Lincoln-Way Central nor the Red Wolves have any future games scheduled.
