Soccer Recap: Marshall County Takes a Loss

Marshall County might've scored the first goal on Saturday, but it was Evansville Harrison who claimed the real prize. The Marshals fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. Marshall County were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Evansville Harrison apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Marshall County has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8-1 record this season. As for Evansville Harrison, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Marshall County will take on Mayfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshall County will be up against Mayfield's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.88 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Evansville Harrison, they will face off against Southridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
