Baseball Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss

Chaparral made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Legend, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolverines fell just short of the Titans by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. That makes it the first time this season the Wolverines have let down their home crowd.

Chaparral saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh McWilliams, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Logan Manuello was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Legend, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14.

Looking ahead, Chaparral will head out to square off against Eaglecrest at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Legend, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Castle View at 4:30 p.m. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sabercats have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
