Softball Recap: Shore Regional Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Shore Regional never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Long Branch Green Wave with a sharp 18-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Green Wave: they've now won nine in a row.

Shore Regional's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Long Branch, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coincidentally, Shore Regional and Long Branch will both be playing Trinity Hall the next time they take the field. The Blue Devils will host Trinity Hall at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Green Wave will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
