Football Recap: Maci Mcginnis Leads Pace's Defense on Thursday

If Gulf Breeze wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Pace, they should've done a better job of containing Amaya Pablo. The Pace Patriots blew past the Gulf Breeze Dolphins, posting a 46-0 win thanks in part to Pablo, who threw for 231 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of her passes, and also rushed for 39 yards and two touchdowns. What's more, she racked up 151.2 passer rating, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

Pace didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Maci McGinnis led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Josie Arthur got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Pace's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Gulf Breeze, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

After both having extra time off, Pace and Navarre will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th. Pace is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 32.1 points per game this season. Gulf Breeze will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Escambia at 6:30 p.m. on March 24th.
