Recap: Trinity Christian Eagles vs. Covenant Christian Cougars
The Trinity Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 48-38 to Covenant Christian. While losing is never fun, Trinity Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 801st, while the Cougars are ranked 144th).
Covenant Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Matthew Boughton out in front who scored 17 points. Noah Hill was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Trinity Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Covenant Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will take on the Owls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Covenant Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
