Softball Recap: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. El Camino Real Royals

Cleveland extended their losing streak to ten on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 2-14 in the process. They came up short against the El Camino Real Royals, falling 12-2. If the Cavaliers were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to the Royals when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cleveland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Nutt, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Jessica Van Zyl also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Coincidentally, Cleveland and El Camino Real will both be playing Taft the next time they take the field. The Royals will head out to face the Toreadors at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Cavaliers will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
