Dynamic duo of Lisette Vargas and Laura Sierra lead St. Anthony to victory

Recap: St. Anthony Yellowjackets vs. St. Augustine Knights
The St. Anthony Yellowjackets won the last time they faced the St. Augustine Knights, and things went their way on Tuesday too. St. Anthony walked away with a 39-26 win over St. Augustine.
Leading St. Anthony to victory were Lisette Vargas and Laura Sierra. Vargas scored 12 points along with three steals and two blocks, while Sierra dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Sierra is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Laura Gonzalez, who scored seven points along with three steals.
St. Anthony's win bumped their record up to 16-14. As for St. Augustine, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
St. Anthony will be playing in front of their home fans against Providence Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Anthony is facing Providence Catholic at the right time seeing as Providence Catholic is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for St. Augustine, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Joseph Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
