Sulphur Springs gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Mt. Pleasant Tigers 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Sulphur Springs won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Rainey Johnson and Preslee Hardy, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Harper Hodges and her 22 assists. Sophie Schaack controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Sulphur Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Hughes Springs on the 14th. As for Mt. Pleasant, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Edgewood on the 14th.
