Softball Recap: Luling Takes a Loss

Luling has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.3 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Smithville Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since April 12, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Luling and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Smithville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Luling has already played their next match, a 6-1 defeat against Episcopal on the 1st. As for Smithville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Woodsboro on the 1st.
