Recap: Brown County Eagles vs. North Putnam Cougars
The Brown County Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 47-40 victory over North Putnam. That's another feather in the cap for Brown County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
North Putnam's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jasmine Duvall, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Daigle, who scored 13 points.
The win got Brown County back to even at 10-10. As for North Putnam, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brown County will challenge Southwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwestern has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for North Putnam, they will head out on the road to challenge Owen Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Owen Valley is ranked 322nd, while North Putnam is ranked 301st).
