Softball Recap: Pocatello Extends Winning Streak to Five

Pocatello waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Bonneville Bees by a score of 11-8. The Thunder have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bees, too.

The team relied heavily on Azlin Bullock, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Jakobi Nebeker was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run.

Pocatello's record is now 13-4. As for Bonneville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Pocatello will head out to square off against Idaho Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bonneville, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Shelley at 4:00 p.m. The Russets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Bees will no doubt try to take advantage of.
