Baseball Recap: Hamilton Triumphs

Hamilton was handed a 20-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Cross Roads Bobcats 6-4.

Hamilton's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Grant Bauman, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2. Bauman has become a key player for Hamilton: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-3 otherwise. Isaac Wood was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

The win got Hamilton back to even at 4-4. As for Cross Roads, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will welcome Aquilla at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cross Roads, they will face off against Rice at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
