Softball Recap: Torrance Takes a Loss

If Torrance was feeling good fresh off their 10-4 takedown of Santa Monica last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tartars fell just short of the El Segundo Eagles by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Torrance's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for El Segundo, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

Torrance will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West at 3:30 p.m. on the 16th. As for El Segundo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Venice at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th.
