Recap: Deposit-Hancock vs. Greene Trojans
Deposit-Hancock lost against the Greene Trojans back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Deposit-Hancock fell just short of Greene by a score of 55-53. Deposit-Hancock has struggled against Greene recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Deposit-Hancock lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Blake Fortunato, who scored 21 points along with two steals. Fortunato is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alejandro Gonzalez, who scored 14 points along with nine assists.
Deposit-Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Greene, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deposit-Hancock will take on Unatego at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greene, they will be playing at home against Afton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Afton is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
