Sean Morgan and William Young Jr. secure win for Littlerock

Recap: Littlerock Lobos vs. Palmdale Falcons

The Littlerock Lobos waltzed into their game on Monday with five straight wins but they left with six. They strolled past Palmdale with points to spare, taking the game 70-54. Given Littlerock's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 510th, while Palmdale is ranked 1115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Littlerock to victory were Sean Morgan and William Young Jr.. Morgan dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, while Young Jr. scored 22 points along with two steals. Young Jr. is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mathew Monroy, who scored 12 points along with three steals.

Despite the loss, Palmdale still got an impressive performance from Jamari Owens, who scored 30 points. Owens hasn't dropped below 15 points for eight straight games. Anthony Delouth was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Littlerock's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Palmdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-21 record this season.

Littlerock will be playing in front of their home fans against Knight at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Knight is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Palmdale, they will challenge Eastside at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Eastside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
