Basketball Recap: Ze'brien Watkins Key Part of a Team Effort in Lancers Win

Sunny Hills won the last time they faced Troy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Sunny Hills Lancers came out on top against the Troy Warriors by a score of 56-48. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Warriors are ranked 841st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sunny Hills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ze'Brien Watkins led the charge by putting up 13 points in addition to seven boards and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Kamron Tonga, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 16 points and three blocks.

Sunny Hills has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Troy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.
