Basketball Recap: Lafayette County Takes a Loss

Lafayette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clinton Cardinals.

Lafayette County's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Clinton, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Coming up, Lafayette County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Knob Noster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clinton, they will challenge Center at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
