Preview: White County Warriors vs. Livingston Academy Wildcats
White County has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The Livingston Academy Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for White County, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 35-20 loss to DeKalb County.
White County's defeat came about despite a quality game from Tripp Pinion, who threw for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes.
Meanwhile, Livingston Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Cumberland County by a score of 19-7 on Friday. The victory was just what Livingston Academy needed coming off of a 35-0 loss in their prior matchup.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: DeKalb County's victory pushed their record up to 5-4, while White County's loss dropped theirs down to 4-5.
Everything came up roses for White County against Livingston Academy when the teams last played back in August of 2022 as the team secured a 48-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for White County since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
