Camarillo came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Simi Valley Pioneers. That's more bragging rights for the Scorpions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Camarillo never let Simi Valley on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-14, 25-22.

Camarillo's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Simi Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Camarillo will challenge Moorpark at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Camarillo is facing Moorpark at the right time seeing as Moorpark is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Simi Valley, they will be playing at home against Calabasas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
