Baseball Recap: St. Paul's Takes a Loss

St. Paul was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 6-3 to the Covington Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Tuesday.

St. Paul's saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clay Sims, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Sims' first of the season.

St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Covington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

St. Paul's has already played their next matchup (against Byrd), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Covington also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Episcopal.
