Softball Recap: Triad Cardinals vs. Catholic Central Irish
There's no place like home for Triad, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Catholic Central Irish on Monday as the Triad Cardinals made off with a 15-3 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Triad also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
Kaydee Roberts made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits (and only one walk). Roberts has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Roberts was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
