The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will head out to face off against the Battle Ground Academy Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Notre Dame is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Notre Dame took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Christian Academy of Knoxville a 2-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Notre Dame were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Battle Ground Academy made sure to put some goals up on the board against St. Cecilia Academy on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Scarabs. Considering Battle Ground Academy have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Battle Ground Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five matches. As for Notre Dame, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
