Basketball Game Preview: Washington Hatchets vs. Boonville Pioneers

Washington has gone 9-1 against Boonville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Washington Hatchets will be playing at home against the Boonville Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. Washington will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Washington took their matchup with ease, bagging a 65-38 victory over Evansville North. The Hatchets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Washington relied on the efforts of Katie Reed, who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and eight boards, and Aubrey Frank, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine assists. The dominant performance gave Frank a new career-high in assists. London Gilley was another key player, putting up six points.

Meanwhile, Boonville can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-32 win over South Spencer. The team ran away with 45 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the victory.

Washington pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.6 points. As for Boonville, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.
