Volleyball Game Preview: Eagle Valley Devils vs. Battle Mountain Huskies + How To Watch

The Eagle Valley Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Battle Mountain Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Battle Mountain will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Eagle Valley extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Devils put the hurt on Steamboat Springs with a sharp 3-0 victory.

While Eagle Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-21.

Eagle Valley can attribute much of their success to Reese Wright, who had nine digs and two aces. Riley Weatherred also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Meanwhile, Battle Mountain got the win against Glenwood Springs on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The Huskies have beaten the Demons the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Demons has come to flipping the script.

Battle Mountain's got stronger as the match went on, holding Glenwood Springs to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 25-15.

Eagle Valley now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Battle Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
