Soccer Recap: Wisconsin Lutheran Comes Up Short

Wisconsin Lutheran's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Menomonee Falls Phoenix by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Wisconsin Lutheran have lost by just one goal.

Simon Cung and Philip Hau scored both of Wisconsin Lutheran's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

This is the second loss in a row for Wisconsin Lutheran and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Menomonee Falls, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Wisconsin Lutheran and Menomonee Falls will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Wisconsin Lutheran is set to square off against their familiar foe New Berlin West at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Menomonee Falls will challenge rival Brookfield Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
