Preview: Scheck Hillel Community School Lions vs. LaSalle Royal Lions
The Scheck Hillel Community School Lions's road trip will continue as they head out to face the LaSalle Royal Lions at 5:00 p.m. on December 18th. Scheck Hillel Community School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Tuesday, Scheck Hillel Community School took a serious blow against Hebrew Academy, falling 46-5. Scheck Hillel Community School has not had much luck with Hebrew Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, LaSalle was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 49-45 to Marathon.
Despite the loss, LaSalle saw an underclassman step up: Alexandra Gonzalez casar dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. The contest was Gonzalez casar's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Candy Cruz, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Scheck Hillel Community School's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for LaSalle, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3.
Scheck Hillel Community School was dealt a bruising 62-16 defeat at the hands of LaSalle in their previous matchup back in January of 2022. Thankfully for Scheck Hillel Community School, Mary Scheuerle (who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
