Softball Recap: Academy of Our Lady Comes Up Short

If Academy of Our Lady was feeling good fresh off their 16-5 takedown of Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Academy of Our Lady Penguins fell 8-4 to the Pope John Paul II Jaguars on Thursday. The Penguins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Academy of Our Lady's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Pope John Paul II, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Academy of Our Lady didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-6 loss against Archbishop Chapelle on the 15th. As for Pope John Paul II, they have also already played their next game, a 6-2 victory against Haynes Academy on the 14th.
