Basketball Recap: Northeast Comes Up Short on the Road Against Liberty Creek + How To Watch

Northeast had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Liberty Creek Wolves on Tuesday, falling 77-42. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Despite the defeat, Northeast saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Destin Jones posted nine points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Jones, who earned 12 points.

Looking ahead, Northeast will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Wilson Central at 3:30 p.m. As for Liberty Creek, they are taking a road trip to challenge Merrol Hyde Magnet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
