Football Recap: Woodbridge Skates Past Gar-Field with Ease + How To Watch

Woodbridge had won three straight at home, but on Friday they bumped up to 9-1 to make it four. They took their game with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over the Gar-Field Red Wolves. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won seven contests by 28 points or more so far this season.

Woodbridge found their leader in sophomore Marquece Sharpe, who rushed for 81 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 73 receiving yards and one TD. Sharpe is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played. James Shaw III did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 84 receiving yards.

Woodbridge didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Gar-Field to a completion percentage of just 46.7%. The Vikings weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 79.3%.

As for Gar-Field, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Woodbridge: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Gar-Field still got an impressive performance from Warren Freeman, who rushed for 179 yards and one score on only 13 carries. With that strong performance, Freeman is now averaging an impressive 123.3 rushing yards per game.

Woodbridge and Gar-Field are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Vikings will host Patriot at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gar-Field, they are taking a road trip to take on Colonial Forge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
