Soccer Game Preview: Clovis vs. Hobbs

Clovis hasn't had much luck against Hobbs recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Wildcats will head out to challenge the Eagles at 12:00 p.m. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Clovis' defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Carlsbad. The win made it back-to-back victories for Clovis.

Meanwhile, Hobbs' game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Roswell, sneaking past 3-2. The win continues a trend for Hobbs in their matchups with Roswell: they've now won nine in a row.

Clovis' record now sits at 4-12-2. As for Hobbs, their record is now 15-3.

Clovis suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Hobbs in their previous matchup last Saturday. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
