Baseball Recap: Heritage Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tri-City Christian Academy last Tuesday, Heritage Academy came back down to earth. The Heroes fell 11-6 to the Gila Bend Gila Monsters on Thursday.

Heritage Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Mota, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The Heroes are 3-1 when Mota posts two or more runs, but 0-4 otherwise. Diego Porcari also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Heritage Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Gila Bend, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Heritage Academy has already played their next game, a 10-1 victory against Thunderbird Adventist Academy on the 15th. As for Gila Bend, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 20-4 win against Ajo on the 11th.
