Northridge extends home losing streak to five

Recap: Northridge Grizzlies vs. Riverdale Ridge Ravens

The Northridge Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Riverdale Ridge at home and fell 85-46. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northridge in their matchups with Riverdale Ridge: they've now lost five in a row.

Northridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lincoln Lyons, who scored 15 points. Lyons continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Drake Walker, who scored nine points along with three blocks and two steals.

It was another big night for Marcus Hinh, who scored 33 points along with five rebounds and three steals for Riverdale Ridge. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hinh has scored all season. Kameren Davis was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds.

Northridge bumped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Riverdale Ridge, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northridge will take on Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverdale Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Roosevelt at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Roosevelt will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Riverdale Ridge is ranked 24th).
