Basketball Recap: Midview Takes a Loss

Midview played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Avon Lake Shoremen 65-33. The Middies have struggled against the Shoremen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Midview lost, don't look at Leah DiFranco. Despite the final result, she went 6 for 12 en route to 18 points and six rebounds. DiFranco is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Audrey Gerber also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Midview's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Avon Lake, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

Midview has already played their next match (against Bay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Avon Lake has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against North Ridgeville.
