Linden has gone a perfect 3-0 against Riverbank recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lions will take on the Bruins at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Linden has 13 straight victories, Riverbank has 23 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Linden's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Summerville by a score of 3-0.

The team relied heavily on Brody Black, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was Cody Cox, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Riverbank lost 13-2 to Calaveras on Tuesday.

Riverbank saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Esteban Ruiz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Linden pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Riverbank, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-18.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Linden has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Riverbank struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
