Tri-Village put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Northmont Thunderbolts 13-3. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by nine runs or more this season.
Emma Greer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Elizabeth Poling looked comfortable as she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.
Back at the plate, Emma Cantrell was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Tai Mize also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Tri-Village pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
