Basketball Recap: Eagle Point Takes a Loss

Eagle Point lost against North Eugene back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagle Point Eagles took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Eugene Highlanders. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Eugene's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Gray, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. Gray's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Damon Keith was another key player, going 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points and six boards.

Eagle Point's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for North Eugene, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagle Point will take on Ashland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Eugene, they will challenge Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
