Softball Recap: Ysleta Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ysleta can now relate to. They lost 10-0 to the Dumas Demons on Saturday. The Indians were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior), but the Demons' pitchers proved too tough.

Ysleta moved to 16-14-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Dumas, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Dumas beat Ysleta by a score of 21-2 later that day.
