Football Recap: Stratton Extends Winning Streak to Five

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Stratton put the hurt on Walsh with a sharp 26-6 victory. The win was nothing new for Stratton as they're now sitting on five straight.

Leading Stratton to victory were Drew Fox and Von Isenbart. Fox rushed for 123 yards and one TD, while Isenbart threw for 106 yards and one touchdown. Isenbart also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles (1.5 for loss) and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Stratton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Isenbart and Gavin Ruhs.

Stratton's record is now 8-2. As for Walsh, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Stratton will challenge Flagler at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' defense better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 35.7 points per game this season. As for Walsh, they will take on Caliche at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Buffaloes have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
