Soccer Recap: Basalt Comes Up Short

Basalt was the 1-0 winner over Telluride when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Basalt Longhorns fell just short of the Telluride Miners by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Basalt's goal came courtesy of Jennifer Carrasco, which was the first she's scored this season.

Basalt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1. As for Telluride, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Basalt didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Aspen on the 20th. As for Telluride, they will take on Flatirons Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
